Video: Nick Mason Wrecks Super Rare McLaren

  • 6:37 am Tuesday, March 21st, 2017 by Aaron

If nothing else, Nick Mason can definitively say he’s three things:

He’s an iconic drummer who played in one of the most influential bands of all-time
He’s an avid car collector who’s garage is worth millions upon millions
He’s rich enough to repair the damage he caused on the track recently while racing his F1 GTR

This past weekend Mason blew the dust off his super-rare McLaren literally worth near $15 million dollars. Unfortunately for him, the track wasn’t all to impressed with his driving skills, and the drummer was taking a break from crashing symbols, and opted instead to crash his race car.

The Stars Come Out To Tribute Chuck Berry

  • 6:26 am Tuesday, March 21st, 2017 by Aaron

Chuck Berry has been called the father of rock n roll, and rightfully so. The man is said to have influenced acts from Elvis, to the Beatles, to Aerosmith, to Led Zeppelin, and more.

So it shouldn’t be shocking that when Berry passed away over the weekend at 90 year old from what doctors are calling “natural causes”, nearly everybody blessed enough to work a stage performing decided to pay tribute:

Sting, who was giving a private performance, made sure to honor Berry:

Bon Jovi was playing Columbus Ohio when he gave this tip of the cap:

Meanwhile the Red Hot Chili Peppers followed [More]

Pete Townshend Wrote a New Song for a New Production of “Tommy”

  • 6:33 am Friday, March 17th, 2017 by Aaron

There’s a new production of “Tommy” opening in England this month, and Pete Townshend wrote a brand new song for it.

It’s called “Acid Queen 2”, and Pete was inspired to write it after he heard the production would feature actors with disabilities. He says, quote, “This is a totally new adventure, and [it] really does refer back to my original story in which a young man, disabled by extreme trauma, finds his way to some kind of spiritual place because he can FEEL music.  I can’t wait to see it.”

Peter Straker is playing the Acid Queen, and he says, quote, “She [More]

Stevie Nicks Says Fleetwood Mac Is Probably Done Making New Music

  • 6:40 am Thursday, March 16th, 2017 by Aaron

The Queen of classic rock recently took some time to sit with the folks at Rolling Stone, and discuss what’s been going on in the world of Nicks recently. The interview, for the most part, seemed pretty standard until they finally began to dig into recent happenings with her longtime band mates:

Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie are about to release an album as a duo. It seems like it started as a Fleetwood Mac album, but you chose not to participate.
“I’ve been on the road [solo] since last September, so I don’t understand their premise. Christine was gone [More]

Peter Frampton’s Newest Song Has Hit The Internet

  • 5:47 am Monday, March 13th, 2017 by Aaron

It wasn’t too long ago that Peter Frampton was sitting in his home when he heard a thud at the window.

This isn’t an experience that is unique to rock stars, or celebrities. Chances are it may have happened to you in your lifetime. Heck, If you’ve attended a football game in the frozen tundra of Minnesota, you can hear it up to 500 times per year.

But for Pete, it became a muse for his latest single.

Ace Frehley Puts Odds For Rejoining KISS At 50%

  • 8:01 am Thursday, March 9th, 2017 by Aaron

It’s no secret that Ace Frehley has had his ups and downs with Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley over the past 40+ years.

These days though, Ace seems to be on good terms with his former band-mates, and he thinks that’ll one day lead to his return to the group.

Speaking with Brazil’s Kazagastao, in an interview you can watch below, Frehley said that he’s “good friends” with Stanley and added that he had recently crossed paths with Gene as well:

“I just saw Gene about a month ago. He came to my concert in Los Angeles. We hung out all night — [More]

Kids React to Guns N’ Roses

  • 7:13 am Tuesday, March 7th, 2017 by Aaron

We all try to indoctrinate our children to listen to the music we love. It’s definitely a bummer when your lovable rug rat demands to hear the Disney album you’ve really worn out. How many more times can you possibly listen to “Let It Go” from Frozen? Oh, another time? Great.

Enter the folks over at Fine Brothers Entertainment. They’re the dudes who do the video series “Kids React To…” on Youtube. They decided to play the epic masterpiece “Appetite For Destruction” for a bunch of kids to see how they would react to REAL rock music. The results are amazing!

Beware of the Farewell Tour

  • 6:43 am Tuesday, March 7th, 2017 by Aaron

As we all know by now, when an act announces a “farewell tour,” you have to take it with a grain of salt. If history is any indicator, there’s a decent chance that it’s NOT the end of the road.

Especially now that touring is the #1 way a performer can make a ton of cash quickly.

Here are just five examples of acts who have gone on a farewell tour…or MULTIPLE farewell tours…but didn’t actually stop touring:

1.  KISS.  They did a farewell tour from 2000 to 2001, but just two years later, they were back on the road, and they still [More]

Could Angus And Axl Be Looking To Make New AC/DC Music Together?

  • 6:36 am Friday, February 24th, 2017 by Aaron

If the latest rumors are true, it looks like Angus has no intention of shutting down AC/DC anytime soon…

According to two stories from the Australia-based Noise11:

“The chemistry between Axl Rose and Angus Young has inspired Angus to start planning another AC/DC record, but Guns N’ Roses’ touring commitments throughout 2017 will make it difficult to finalize the project.”

The article is headlined “New AC/DC Album Not Expected Until 2018.”

Axl took on  the AC/DC gig in 2016 when Brian Johnson was suddenly sidelined by a hearing issue. He fronted 23 shows on tour before leaving Angus to move forward with the [More]
